Aly Brookland is a former Philadelphia-based litigator turned executive legal recruiter. Aly is known for her down-to-earth and direct approach, and prides herself on building strong relationships with her law firm clients and attorney candidates nationwide. She works tirelessly to ensure that she listens to and understands the needs of both firms and attorneys before making that perfect connection. Aly knows that quick and honest communication is essential, and always keeps clients and candidates fully informed.
Prior to founding The Brookland Group, Aly worked at one of the largest executive recruiting agencies in the world, where she was consistently ranked as one of the top legal recruiters, and with a boutique recruiting firm, where she was named the top legal recruiter of the year. Aly holds a BA in History from Boston University and a JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law. She is also an Executive Coach, accredited by the International Coaching Federation. Aly lives with her husband, their two kids, and rescue dog, Charlie Brown. You can often find her on the stage at her local community theatres, going for hikes with her dog and kiddos, and trying new restaurants with friends.
Josh Ben-Asher is a former labor & employment attorney turned executive legal recruiter who understands the inner workings and cultures of law firms, and the need to match the right attorneys with the right firms. Josh has a way of helping candidates feel comfortable expressing their goals from the initial conversation, and is extremely professional, responsive and ethical throughout the entire recruiting process. He makes sure to listen carefully to the wants, needs and career goals of candidates, and works hard to place them in an environment where they are set up to succeed. As a result, Josh has successfully placed partners, associates and groups of partners within law firms of all sizes in the Greater New York City area and throughout the country.
For seven years, Josh worked at one of the largest Executive Recruiting agencies in the world, where he was named the Rookie of the Year in 2013 among recruiters across more than 700 offices, and was consistently ranked within the top 5% of all recruiters worldwide. Josh received his BA in Philosophy and Political Science from James Madison University in 2006, and his JD from Rutgers Law School in 2009. He resides in Bergen County, New Jersey and spends much of his free time running, managing his fantasy baseball team, and rooting for the New York Yankees and JMU Dukes.
